These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Zuma App (the "App"). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms.
Zuma App is a hyperlocal community app for Nigeria providing a local activity feed, weather hazard alerts, polls, discount codes, national news, and an SOS messaging shortcut. Features may be added, changed, or removed over time.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Zuma App. You're responsible for the accuracy of the information on your account and for keeping your login credentials secure. Some actions (posting, voting, editing your profile) may require your phone number to be verified before they're available.
You retain ownership of content you post (microposts, photos, poll votes). By posting, you grant Zuma a license to host, display, and distribute that content within the App to other users. You're solely responsible for what you post.
Other users can report content they believe violates these Terms. We may review, remove, or restrict access to content or accounts that violate these Terms, at our discretion, without prior notice.
The SOS button is not a substitute for contacting emergency services. It opens a prefilled message in your phone's own SMS app, addressed to contacts you've chosen — it does not contact police, fire, ambulance, or any emergency dispatch service, and Zuma does not guarantee the message is sent, delivered, or read. In a life-threatening emergency, contact your local emergency services directly.
Weather conditions and hazard alerts are provided for general informational purposes, sourced from third-party weather data. We do not guarantee their accuracy, completeness, or timeliness, and they should not be relied on as the sole basis for safety-critical decisions.
National News articles link to third-party publisher websites. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of those external sites.
You may stop using the App and request account deletion at any time (see the Privacy Policy for how). We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Zuma App and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including reliance on user-submitted content, weather alerts, or the SOS feature.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
We may update these Terms as the App evolves. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
