You can request deletion of your Zuma App account and all data associated with it (profile, posts, votes, emergency contacts, and alert history) at any time, whether or not you still have the app installed.
If you no longer have the app installed, or can't log in, email us from any address at hello@ytconsulting.com.ng with:
We'll verify the request and deactivate your account within a few business days.
Your account is deactivated right away and you're immediately signed out — it can't be used to log in again from that point on. We keep the account and its data for 30 days after your request before permanently erasing it. This short retention window exists solely so we can investigate if an account was involved in fraud or abuse before the evidence is gone; it is not used for any other purpose, and your data isn't visible or used anywhere in the app during this period since you're already signed out. If an account is under active investigation, we may retain it slightly longer than 30 days for that specific reason.
Once the 30 days pass, your account and all associated data — profile (name, email, phone number, state, home location), emergency contacts, microposts and photos you posted, poll votes, confirm/dispute votes, content reports you filed, device push tokens, and your alert history — are permanently deleted. This cannot be reversed. You'll get an email confirmation once this happens.
To prevent someone from deleting an account and immediately creating a new one to sidestep this review window, the same Google account can't be used to create a new Zuma App account until 30 days after the old one is actually deleted.
See our Privacy Policy for more on what we collect and how it's used.
